The DRA Honors Fallen Fire Fighter Christopher Douglas

On Sunday, June 8, 2014 the DRA had the honor of presenting the Roy Wilson Fire Station a plaque and orange tree in memory of their fallen fire fighter, Christopher Douglas.
Christopher Douglas was killed July 5,  2014 after he was struck by a pickup truck while standing on an Interstate 10 on ramp in Palm Desert. Read more here.
We were greeted by a large group of firefighters from all over the valley, who came out to support us and honor Christopher. It was a touching presentation for us all when the station’s Fire Chief and Christopher’s wife, Amy, made a speech in memory of Christopher.
The members of the DRA want to thank Tom O’Connor for all his hard work of putting this together and to everyone at Cal Fire who were supportive of our efforts.
