Father’s Day News – June 7th

A Note from Ken & Bobby,
Greetings,
A week ago 14 DRA members spread some love at Emeritus Rancho Mirage.  We took about 30 minutes and passed out some simple Mother’s Day cards.  I think we all learned that this was literally all it took to really make some people happy.  Of course by simply listening to a few people, we ended up meeting the most interesting man.  Lt. Commander Richard Smith, who served 28 years in the navy and attempted to ride a 48′ Harley in 1948 through all 48 states.  He made 31 before the bike blew in the pre freeway era.
Any way, Mission Hills Senior Care heard about this and have invited us to celebrate Father’s Day with them and have a BBQ.  They are doing it the day before, so it will be Saturday June 7.  We will swing by Emeritus to present Mr. Smith with a picture we all took with him and to give him a card, then to the BBQ.
Irish and I will come up with a time and meeting place, but look for a KSU of around 12:00.  Go to the dollar store  and buy a couple of cards, sign it and give a few minutes.  It’s an incredible way to make someone’s day with virtually no effort.

Thanks
Ride Safe

Darin
